In every project, bran — I am building, reacting to, molding, and meddling in one thing: identity.
Identity lays the foundation of everything that a society can be. We fight over identity. We build relationships from identity. We buy and sell identities and the adornments that prove or disprove them. We mirror our actions and intentions to match an identity we created for ourselves. We group ourselves by identity, relocate by identity — even our cities and states have them!
Identity is the first thing we’re given, the last thing we leave behind, and the only tie that binds this human experience together beyond all else.
It’s also the only thing that makes us, us.
